The Robot
This musical piece was written with the possible future in mind which included robots. The artist would like to be referred to as “The Artist” for this article and so, I shall respect this wish as we explore. The artist imagined a “world full of robots” when writing this track. “I like playing this live in concert” the artist is quoted mentioning the musical performance energises the sound.
The Word
This interesting track was written to represent communication with technology. The artist wanted to show “the importance of communication”. “This track has been a challenge on stage” (to perform) says the artist and future performances may need to change due to changes in technology. As I’m writing this article, it’s rather interesting to listen to the artist in order to provide commentary for the reader. The artist has moments of brilliance but also moments of slow crazy thoughts as we listen together.
Heaven
Written with the idea of what strings would sound like in heaven. The artist thought of “flying through the air” while writing this piece of music. Are the skies blue? Well they might be according to the artist, I stuck with interest as I watch the artist answer questions and listen to the music together and narrate and provide commentary over the music.
Wonder
This slow piece of music was written for the dream world and all its wonders. The artist wrote this music piece as the moonlight appeared and thought of the “blue skies”. As I listen to this very delicate piece of music, I get a sense of walking somewhere on my own, but somehow it’s important and one must keep walking. Mentioning this to the artist gave a sense of agreement.
Music Production and how Compressors play an important role in Music
Compressors, brick wall limiting, eq, gates, do wonders in music, especially Multi-band compressors. Compressors emulating regular, peak and levelling amplifier types of classes do a great job. FET compressors for a more fast, clean & so called 'reliable' output compressor designs are nice across several forms of music. CPU compressors have their days too. (Never under estimate the mathematical process, their very good for post-production work).But none the less, all these types of compressors are good, but it just depends on which design will sound better with which type of musical material input and the effect/results your looking for as the final musical composition
